Early life in Kirtland, Ohio, Far West, Missouri, and near Carthage, Illinois; recollection of events in the vicinity of Nauvoo, Illinois; exodus west temporary settlements on the Des Moines River in Iowa, and in Lynn County, Missouri; arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, 1852; settlement between American Fork and Pleasant Grove, Utah; family data; settlements at Ogden and Deseret, before final location at American Fork, Utah.
